Due to the nature of what cacti and succulents need to thrive we have found using even a little bit of Perlite/Pumice etc. still makes a huge difference. If you want your plants to thrive we highly recommend it. (See our potting tips advice page). The proof has been when potting up plants. The ones that had more mineral base and coarse sand in the mix had bigger and healthier roots and 0 issues with pests or fungal deseases. How are my plants going to be shipped? Mostly the plants will be sent semi/fully bare rooted. Packaged safely and securely of course. Please note: Gold Coast and Brisbane Metro we can deliver the plants in their pots to your door for a small fee. (Choose this option at checkout) Shipping and processing? We will endeavor to send your plants out as soon as possible however keep in mind there needs to be time to remove the prickly babies from their pot to allow them to fully dry to prevent damage in the post. Normally within a day or two is the aim however. What should i do once i have potted up my newly received cacti in regards to watering? Once potted up into its new home leave it for at least 5-7 days before watering. (a very light spray of the soil prior to potting is a good tip to make it easier to plant). We also suggest adjusting it to sunlight depending how long it was in the post. Morning or afternoon spot is a good option. In summer though more care is needed (and state dependent). Best gloves for cacti? We use the HexArmor ThornArmor when handling most of the plants we grow. They are by far the industry standard in the cacti world. Wholesale?
